10 Reasons why good Windows can cost $185

Recently, several high priced window companies have tried to promote the idea that good vinyl replacement windows cannot be sold for as little as $185.  This “misinformation” can be confusing to consumers…

Of course, $185 windows are not for everyone.  Different styles, features and the “look” you expect of the window factor heavily into the ultimate price.   Here are 10 reasons why you can be frugal and still get the benefits of today’s best window technology.

1.    Vinyl windows are, well vinyl …and that’s not bad.
Some vinyl products can have problems with pitting, discoloration and warping.  Have you ever left a vinyl-based item (say, a lawn chair) out in the back yard and let the elements (sun, rain, temperature) get the better of it?  That’s because the product typically includes recycled materials.  Now, recycling is good, but not for windows.  Premier Window uses only 100% virgin-vinyl.  Because of that, our windows are guaranteed not to warp, discolor, crack or pit.
2.    Vinyl replacement windows have proven themselves for years and are made to last. New technologies such as Fibrex and other similar “composite” products are just too new for us to understand their long-term productivity.
3.    Not all $185 windows are the same. If a manufacturer producing windows doesn’t have good quality controls, you can get a cheap window.  That’s why new construction windows are typically replaced after 10-15 years.  Premier Window ensures that all our windows have equal manufacturing control.  Our “good” window has the same quality control as our “best” window.  Our factory extrudes the vinyl for all our windows and is able to maintain high levels of quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
4.    Will the $185 window meet all your needs? In many cases, yes.  If you’re moving from old-style “single-pane” wood windows or aluminum, you’ll gain immediate benefits in operability and energy-efficiency.  All Premier windows utilize double pane PPG glass to provide you superior quality and reputation.  Of course, you can gain further energy savings by adding technologies such as Low-E glass and gas-fill between the glass panes.
5.    High-priced window suppliers recommend windows having “fusion” technology. That’s when the individual pieces of window frame and sash are treated with a chemical that permanently bonds them together.  It’s like creating a “solid” corner.  This essentially eliminates leakage.  Premier Window recognized the benefit of fusion welding and offers it as a standard feature on every window, including those costing $185.
6.    Installation is critical, whether you’re installing a $185 window or the competition’s $900 window. Premier Window uses only company employees, trained to install our windows.  We’re insured and experienced on installing a variety of windows in many different home environments and configurations.
7.    Precision installation works hand-in-hand with quality products. Both components need to be in place.  Our reputation is based on our ability to install our “good” window or our “best” window. Our installers are AWDI certified.  Consumer Reports recommends your windows be installed under AWDI guidelines.
8.    Every Premier window is custom-manufactured to the size specifications of your window openings. A perfect fit is critical to good performance in the future.
9.    Our “good” window carries a 50 year non-prorated warrantee. That means if the product should fail in any way, we fix the problem…even if it means replacing the whole window.  If a Lifetime Warranty is important to you as a customer, our “better” and “best” level of windows beat that by providing you a “double-lifetime warranty.  That means you pass on the warranty to next owner of your home.
10.    So why are expensive windows expensive? In a word, overhead.  Sears, for example, has the burden of hundreds of retail locations and thousands of employees.  Other manufacturers spend thousands on advertizing and fancy facilities.  Buying from a low-overhead company doesn’t have to mean settling for less.

Our goal is to provide a quality product, at a reasonable price, make the buying and installation process easy and convenient, provide superior service should something go wrong, and ultimately,  have you recommend Premier Window to your friends and family.
